Join us on a tour through the October First Wednesday...It all began down on Westbourne Grove

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2010
Octobers First Wednesday kicked off at the Salon Contemporary for the opening of artist Jacky Tsai’s first solo show.  Art lovers piled in to get a glimpse of the stunning artworks and to toast to the Chinese talent.

After a couple of hours chatting art at the Salon, the Fist Wednesdays crew were feeling peckish, and headed down Westbourne grove to Notting Hills spin on the Euro bistro - Bloody French.  Lucky enough it's Wine Wednesdays every week so a free bottle of red complimented the delicious three course meal perfectly.

A couple of doors down, there's Mary's Living and Giving Shop for Children in Need.  A very chic and funky shop, mixing art, design and fashion.  The walls are decorated with monochrome patterns and the floor is full of individual, quirky pieces to finger through.  A definite stop for Novembers First Wednesday.

The First Wednesday crowd were craving some design - after all, that is what was promised!! Flow Gallery was next, showing a stunning selection of hand crafted design pieces.
Perfection.

Then on to Ledbury Road for a look through the latest and greatest of one of Londons top fashion stores, Wolf&Badger.  What a stunning collection of clothing.  Stores such as these are dangerous...it's hard to know when to leave!

The FirstWednesdays swarm were in the mood for more art - so headed down to the very cool and innovative Muse, at 269 Portobello Road.  They feasted on the fantstic atmosphere that consisted of sonic soundscapes and art pieces, chatted with the friendly locals and had a few refreshments.  Many wanted to stay put....

A bit futher down the road to Graffik London.  The place was buzzing with artists performing live graffiti art alongside a very cool DJ mixing up a storm.  Passers by were desperate for a peek of what was going on inside the venue...perhaps Graffik needs a bigger place to hold all it's new fans!

Then it was on to Jade Jagger on All Saints Road for an intense fashion fix and to browse the beautifully made items of clothing with 10% discount...not bad!
The venue was also offering refreshments...dangerous for persuasion when surrounded by fantastic clothes!

After a tastey selection of art, music, fashion and design - the First Wednesday crowd were seen at Lonsdale bar for a bit of after party playtime - kicking back with some free cocktails and chatting about the evenings events.

Tastey cocktails along with entertaining bar staff - and an array of fine liquors to choose from!
